FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Unlike normal printing, Sublimation Transfers are specially printed using dye-based inks and on absorbent paper like sheets, that when pressed at a high temperature, it transfer the image onto the substrate.
Materials with high polyester count, can be sublimated. These can be shirts, pants, sublimation ready cups, and tumblers.Â
Our Sublimation sheets are ready to be pressed onto any of these items. You will need a heat press and butcher paper.Â
Place your sublimation article on a heat press along with the sublimation sheet. Use butcher paper above the transfer to prevent the dye-based ink from staining your heat press.
We recommend pressing the sublimation sheet onto the article at 400 degrees F for 35 seconds at firm pressure. While these settings are standard for most applications, we recommend that you practice and make necessary changes to get the correct settings for your equipment.
DTF Transfer sheets are full color heat transfer sheets that are produced through a special printer and cured with an adhesive powder. DTF Transfers are meant to be placed on almost in any fabric and are long lasting. Most applications include shirts, jackets, shorts, pants, backpacks and bags.
Place your article on a heat press along with the DTF Transfer sheet at 315 degrees F for 15 seconds at medium pressure. Remove article from heat press and let cool down. Once cool to the touch, remove the clear plastic film and repress at 315 degrees for 15 seconds.
